The majority of our samples were taken around the Lincoln Park neighborhood in Chicago. There were a few specimens that were collected from conservatories around Chicago.

 

The locations where samples were collected mostly consisted of areas that are well populated by trees. In order to research the relationship between tardigrade population and the air pollution of an area, specimens were also collected by highways and other busy roadways. Please note that one should 

only take samples where collection is allowed.
